Rhythm & Tunes Festival
Darlington's flagship live music weekend returns with a fresh line up and familiar faces. This year celebrates 30 years of the first incarnation of the Rhythm 'n' Blues event. What started out as a free festival for pure blues lovers. Over the years, as music evolved, Darlington Rock 'n' Blues Club began to book bands who were developing their own music style and becoming famous in their own right. British bands from the 60s & 70s like The Animals, The Yardbirds, Chris Farlowe, The Pretty Things, Spencer Davis Group, Andy Fairweather Lowe (Amen Corner), Mungo Jerry and Mick Ralphs Band have all headlined.
Newt year, we'll be shaking things up with a brand new musical theme, featuring genres and styles from different eras reflecting the ever-changing soundtrack of ours lives.
